Simplify Your Business with Systems

Spread the word

Do you ever feel like you’re overcomplicating things in your business? Like you’re not sure what needs to change specifically, but it just shouldn’t be this hard?

You’re not alone. If you Google “business owner stress,” you will find upward of 196,000 articles – and the top entry states the concept that “running a small business is one of the most stressful things you can possibly do.”

Now, that might be overstating it just a bit, but the fact remains: building a profitable business is not a simple or easy task. There are a lot of ups and downs that come with the job.

While I can’t take all the stress of being a business owner away (I wish that I could!), I can help you simplify the journey with systems.

What’s So Great About Systems?

From time to time, I am asked why I love systems so much. I get it – I’ve heard over and over again that “systems aren’t sexy.”

I beg to differ!

While systems themselves might not be “sexy,” the results they bring definitely are.

  • Increased productivity
  • Increased profitability
  • Stronger employee retention
  • Greater client satisfaction
  • Less stress for you and your team
  • More freedom and peace of mind for you!

I thought that might get your attention! This is why my team and I put so much of our time and passion into helping our clients build great systems. Yes, systems are great to have (especially if you’re a planner, like me!), but they are something that often gets put on the back burner.

I’d like to change that!

Simplifying with Systems

If you’re someone who inherently likes systems – who gets excited to put them in place – chances are, everything I’m saying already makes sense to you. You probably already have some systems in place, and you are on board with implementing the rest of them. (We can help you!)

If you’re not, though, the thought of creating the systems your business needs probably brings some anxiety. The idea of spending more time mapping out what you already do might seem overwhelming.

No judgment here – I get it! Many of my clients are brilliant business owners who juggle a lot of different responsibilities. They have a strong desire to make a huge difference in the lives of their clients and team members, but there’s only so much of them to go around.

They need to simplify their workflows. They need strong systems.

Systems give your team the “how, why, and when” of everything in your business. They make it easy for each employee to work within their zone of genius, complete their tasks effectively, and make daily decisions without wondering how you want things done.

In other words, they allow you to step back from everything that doesn’t actually need your attention and still run a profitable business. Systems give you back your time. They allow you to stay in the right headspace and mindset to grow a profitable business.

But what does it take to put them in place?

Implementing Your Systems

The good news is, you don’t have to create and implement your systems all at once. (I don’t even do that, and my business is all about systems!)

Instead, focus on one system at a time and build from there. As you write and refine your business plan, decide which system you want to work on during each quarter. Calendar in some time with your Executive Assistant or Admin to sit down and map out your current processes.

This will allow you to see where any gaps may exist and evaluate how to fix them, which is a large part of the process!

Something that’s important to realize is that your systems don’t have to be perfect…they just need to be in place. As you grow, you and your team will continue to refine them, which is a lot easier than you might think!
